This is a softer, kind of flaky version of peanut brittle – it isn’t brittle. 🙂  Created at or by the Davenport Hotel, Spokane, WA, it is a real treat!

Dad’s Fudge

When you asked Dad for fudge, this is what you got. It is NOT soft or chewy.  It is hard and crumbly.  But not too hard.  Instead of cooking to hard ball stage, cook to soft and use in brownies!  Yum!

Pizzelle

Pizzelle are traditional Italian waffle cookies made from flour, eggs, sugar, butter or vegetable oil, and flavoring. Pizzelle can be hard and crisp or soft and chewy depending on the ingredients and method of preparation. It can be moulded into various shapes, including in the shape of cannoli.
